This will be a joint lecture- and discussion-driven class focused on the key practices and knowledge areas of business law in the private sector. Topics of discussion will include contracts, agency relationships, intellectual property, entities and their formation, avoiding litigation, dealing with litigation, employment law, general property law for business owners, strategic business planning, estate planning for business owners, the Texas legal atmosphere, and corporate governance.

This course introduces marketing research processes and tools that inform managerial decision making in global business environments. Students conduct ethical research by utilizing data sources and applying statistical tools and measurement techniques. Students engage in independent and collaborative research project designs, develop comprehensive marketing research plans, and deliver industry-relevant reports and presentations.
