ENG3304 Advanced Composition explores various aspects of creative non-fiction, both as an area of study and as a practice.

The course will consist of several writing assignments, ranging from short movie and restaurant reviews to longer memoir-type essays. We will also examine the field through a close examination of two textbooks by authoritative voices in the field of nonfiction: William Zinsser and Bill Roorbach.

Through the study of those books and through our own writing experiences over the course of the semester, I hope that each of us will grow our skills and become more confident writers.
