How to Post to Forum

  1. Click "Add a new discussion topic"
  2. Enter Subject Title
  3. Enter your text into the text box
  • If copying text from a Word document, click the Paste Special icon and paste content
  • If adding an image, click the image icon (top row of toolbar) Browse and select image
  • If adding a video, click the colorful Yuja icon, click the desired video and click insert content
    • YuJa will populate a video link to the message box. (You may record content from here)

  • If adding a file (ppt, Word doc, pdf, png image, Excel, etc.), click "Advanced" below text box
    • Drag and drop file from your computer
  1. Click "Post to forum"

How to Submit an Assignment

Check your assignment instructions for the file types accepted i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or PDFs
  1. Click "Add a Submission"
  2. If adding a file (ppt, Word doc, pdf, png image, Excel, etc.),
    • Drag and drop file from your computer or
    • Browse for file by clicking the paper icon in the top left corner of drag and drop box
    • Give time for file to process
      • Should be under a minute depending on connection or wi-fi. Icon will appear.
  3. If entering text, image, or video into online text box
  • If copying text from a Word document, click the Paste Special icon and paste content.
  • If adding an image, click the image icon (top row of toolbar) Browse and select image from saved images on your computer.
  • If adding a video, click the colorful Yuja spiral icon, click desired video and click insert content. Video will populate link to message box. (You may also record content from here.)
    • See the YuJa Video Recording Instructions Folder located in Technology Support located in Moodle ribbon.
  1. Click "Submit"

Possible additional steps:

  1. Click "Add Submission"
  2. Upload Submission in one of the formats as described.
  3. Click "Save Changes"
    • If instructor has enabled submission statement requirement, submission status will show "Draft" (not submitted). Go to Step 4.
    • If instructor has not enabled submission statement, Submission status will show "Submission ready for grading." Assignment is complete.
  4. Click "Submit Assignment."
  5. Check the confirm submission statement and click "Continue."
